Thanks to the generosity of the May Court Club of Barrie we were able to provide both public libraries in Barrie this October with 12 books each on all aspects of epilepsy.  It is our hope that these kits will  bring awareness and understanding about the condition to the general public, and also help those living with epilepsy better understand their condition.

Barrie Dragon Boat Festival 2015

A very sincere thank you to the members of the Pirates of the Epilepsea's for a tremendous effort at the waterfront on August 22nd.  We competed in the Silver Division this year - a first for us.  There was great food and good company and a fabulous time was had by all.  Thank you to each and every one of you for the money that was raised to help those living with epilepsy, everyday!

2015/16 Scholarship

A huge thank you to those who helped make this fundraiser the success it was. This year we were the proud winners of the Bronze Division Consolation race!!  Another first for our dragon boat team! Thank you to each and every rower for your tremendous paddling!  To the donator's for their contribution, to the Roy family for their reliable help (all summer long), to East Side Mario's, Bayfield St. and Cottage Canoe for their continued loyal support to our team over the years. Thank you everyone!

Our baseball tournament took place on Saturday, July 23rd at the Guthrie Lions Baseball Diamonds in Oro-Medonte. We had 4 amazing teams come out to support epilepsy: Barrie Fire, The RVH Bees, Grant Thornton, and this year's winners - Oro-Medonte Fire Department! We had a fun-filled day with our wonderful volunteers, friends, and family to thank. Congratulations OMFD and thank you to all who supported our tournament!

We are proud to announce that we have awarded a resident of Barrie a $1,000 scholarship to continue her studies at Georgian College this September. We look forward to contributing to the success of more students each year.
